About Jennifer

How I went from growing up on a tropical island without TV to coaching A-list actors

Before there was a Coach, there was a curious child.

Sounds like the start of a movie, right? Well, let’s press Play.

I was born in Sydney but grew up as a child in Vanuatu (a South Pacific island off the east coast of Australia).

My sisters and I went to the local French schools and spoke the main languages of Vanuatu ... French, English and some of the island creole Bislama.

With no TV on the island, my heart and ears swam in the sweet sounds filling the air ... island voices singing gospel songs, people speaking in multiple accents and languages, and me and my school pals singing French and Maori songs in the playground.

At home, to entertain ourselves, we’d listen to my parents’ broad record collection and I learned to mimic the voices and delivery that I was hearing.

And so began the path to my career.

My path from islander to actor to coach

From tropical Vanuatu, let's cut to Sydney, Australia:

I decided to turn my love of speaking, singing and storytelling into a career as an actor and singer. Not the natural progression I thought of as a non-TV-raised island child!

But I was curious, creative and determined ... and at the same time, I was trying to find my sense of self in Australia and my own voice in the world.

So, off I went to drama school ...

I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts (Acting) degree and worked for years as a professional actor, singer and voice-overs artist. I performed nationally and internationally in 2,000 seat theatres, was the Guest Singer for a VIP Dinner for the Prime Minister of Australia and recorded hundreds of voice-overs.

From speaking Shakespeare to singing Sondheim and being the voice for leading brands, I saw that my voice could open up a world of work, creativity and opportunity.

So, 24 years ago, I moved into my deeper passion as a Coach and I haven't looked back!

I graduated with my Post Graduate Diploma (Voice) from the renowned National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and created my multinational career.

As a Coach, I've worked on feature films, television, plays, musicals, cabarets and internationally televised live events watched by millions. I've lectured at prestigious performing arts training institutions, including 12 years at the renowned National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, and coached voice-overs to hundreds.

It's a privilege to coach some of the finest actors in the local and international acting industry and guide them to expand their craft, confidence and achieve award-winning success.

I not only found my own voice and career success, but I have the joy of guiding others to theirs too!

"My coaching philosophy isn't just about skills improvement. It's not about simply speaking and storytelling. It's about captivating and impacting audiences globally with methodology, mastery and magic."
